R&B Co Sterling Silver Vanity Mirror & Hair Brush Dresser Set

This is matched antique hairbrush and hand mirror set by R. Blackington & Co, a company founded by Walter Ballou and Roswell Blackinton in nearby North Attleboro, MA in 1862. This particular piece bears the "R B CO" trademark, with a sword going through the "B". This trademark was used until 1900, dating this piece 1900 or even earlier. Both the mirror and brush bear the "Sterling" stamp. The hand mirror shows the number "2000" under the Sterling and R. Blackington stamp, and the brush shows "2027," followed by some illegible markings.
The mirror is 12 1/2" long and the face of the mirror is 4" across,
it is marked R&B Co Sterling 2000.
The handle shows some scratches and has some small dents.
The mirror is in good condition.
The hair brush
is 9 1/4" long and it is 2.5" across,
it is marked R&B Co Sterling 2027.
It shows a
few nicks & dings.
Both items have a monogram engraved "AMC".
