Description

Up for auction is my
1972 Daytona 500 motorcycle
.
I had to relist the bike due to a non-paying bidder. If you have less than 5
positive feed backs you will need to contact me before you bid. No exceptions. Thank You
I bought this for my ex-wife around 1990 so she would have her own ride. Only 5800 original miles on the bike. I have converted it to single carburetor for easy maintenance but have the original carburetors and a new one that go with the bike as shown in the photos. Runs very well.
I have repainted the tank and front fender to the original color- paint matched by Hutchison. Pin stripes are hand painted as original.
It has:
Trispark electronic ignition
Stainless Steel Spokes
New Avon Tires
All Lucas light housing and lenses (not Taiwan aftermarket)
New Girdling Stainless Shock Absorbers
Halogen headlamp
The bike shows minor signs of pitting on the gas cap and a slight seam separation on the original seat. Small dent on left header pipe. Original made in England Dunlop rims in great shape. Paint on frame has some wear. The bike is at least 95%original and was not used much. It was originally located in Oklahoma. I am the second owner. I have been buying and selling motorcycles on eBay for allot of years and my rating shows my reliability. I have 11 other motorcycles left in my collection and need to sell some off as I am getting too old to keep up with the maintenance. Please email with any specific questions. A personal inspection can be arraigned. I lost the original title or my ex took it to spite me, but I have a duplicate coming from the State of Texas. I applied on the 7th of June.
Buyer is responsible for shipping, but I will assist with the pick up. Pearland is located just South of Houston. I will leave the Texas plate if the winner is from Texas.
